Mucho se ha escrito ya sobre Rage Against The Machine, banda que resaltó en los 90s y luego de una larga separación, se han vuelto a juntar hace poco. Su primer disco por allá en 1992, luego de la caída de la Unión Soviética, a muchos les sonaba sin sentido, pero una minoría se acercó por sentir reales las letras de protesta y por la fusion creativa. .
Con Tom Morello en la guitarra, excelente innovador, quien ha leído sobre marxismo y tiene un bachiller en ciencias políticas, y Zack de la Rocha en la voz, chicano que empezó plegándose al movimiento Hip Hop en Los Angeles; RATM es una banda activista que ha ayudado en los movimientos por liberar a Mumia Abu-Jamal y a Leonard Peltier, aunque muchas de sus acciones y discurso contienen un carácter reformista.
Much has been written already about Rage Against The Machine, band that was very strong internationally in the 90s and has recently reunited after a long separation. Their first album, back in 1992, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, was for many futile, but a minority came close to them feeling realism in the lyrics of protest and for the funky mixture in their music.
Including Tom Morello in the guitar, excellent innovator who had read about Marxism and has a bachelor in political science, and Zack de la Rocha as a singer, a Chicano who started joining the Hip Hop movement in Los Angeles; RATM is an activist band which had assisted the free Mumia Abu-Jamal and Leonard Peltier's movements, although their rethoric and actions mantain a reformist character.
